Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is considered alternative medicine and was founded by Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui, in 1922. He recommended that one practices certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

Reiki is broken down as two words:

Rei > "God's wisdom or the higher power"

Ki > "Life force energy"

Together this translates into = Spiritually guided life force energy

Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that helps your system balance itself. Balance is always a good thing, because your body can only self-heal when your nervous system is balanced.

Reiki is not a religion and has no dogma. There is nothing you must believe in to benefit from Reiki, which is why it will work for everyone.
